OPEN FOR BOOKINGS!
Self Contained Accommodation
Leisure/Breaks from 12th April

The recent Government announcement states people can enjoy domestic breaks in self-contained, self-catering accommodation from 12th April.

So what does that mean for you booking with MAEVELA®?

You book with us officially for a break from 12th April 2021

Can I go on holiday to the UK from 12th April?

You can go on holidays within England as a single household group from 12th April (based on currently planned restriction lifting dates) providing your accommodation is self-catering and self-contained.

Will MAEVELA® be reopening on 12th April?

YES YES YES & YES AGAIN!!!
We will be reopening to leisure travellers on 12th April (subject to the restrictions being lifted as expected).

Breaks are available starting that date.

Are the MAEVELA®  apartments self-contained and self-catering?

Yes. The Government guidance specification around what constitutes self-catering is as follows (as of 23rd February 2021):

“Overnight stays away from home in this country will be permitted and self-contained accommodation – those that do not require shared use of bathing, entry/exit, catering or sleeping facilities – can also reopen, though must only be used by members of the same household.”

All of our apartments have:

  • Bathroom facilities
  • Kitchen facilities

No two apartments share an entry door either as they are located in separate apartments and buildings.

Why can MAEVELA® Apartments reopen when hotels cannot?

The core difference between MAEVELA® Apartments and most hotels is that we’re a Serviced Apartment Business/Company. Our building is made up of self-contained luxury serviced apartments not rooms.

With hotels, you do not have self-contained kitchen facilities. This means you’d have to leave your accommodation to get food and is therefore not self-catering.

As such, most hotels will be unable to reopen on 12th April 2021.

Can I travel with friends?

As of the current guidance, travel will be permitted in single household groups or support bubbles only as of 12th April.

Can I cook in my apartment at MAEVELA®?

Absolutely. Each apartment has a kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, if anything is missing you can always ask!

Can I order takeaway into MAEVELA®?

YES OF COURSE!
JustEat, Deliveroo, feel free to order what you like, once you book the apartment is yours for the night!

There are hundreds of amazing restaurants and takeaways offering collection and delivery around Birmingham. So if you don’t fancy cooking on your break, then order in.

Self-contained holiday accommodation in which all facilities (including for sleeping, catering, bathing, and indoor lobbies and corridors for entry and exit) are restricted to exclusive use of a single household/support bubble will reopen.
